What Lies Within: Cat’s Angel Message for July 31, 2017

July’s Theme: Life Path – Divine Guidance – Action

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

731: As the month of july comes to a close take a moment to give yourself a big hug. We have done a lot of work recently so be sure to acknowledge your personal growth. Today the Angels are telling us that the work we have done is paying off even if the results aren’t visible yet. Have faith in yourself and the progress, changes and steps you have taken. Continue the self care routine from yesterday and focus on centering and balancing as this will be important for the work that begins in August. Spirit, the Ascended Masters and the Angels want you to know that you have grown in ways that you can’t begin to imagine (yet).. so stay focused, confident and above all believe in yourself!

Call on your favorite Angel, Ascended Master or Deity today. Ask for assistance wherever you need it most. Use your Rose Quartz to promote self care, inner peace and love.

Blessings for a magickal day!

Thought for the Day: July 31, 2017 “Following Your Own Advice”

Happy Monday and welcome to a new week!

Advice is a funny thing. People are more than happy to give it to others, what you should do, how you should act, how you should be, think, feel and act. These same advice givers can become upset when their advice isn’t followed. The thing is………….. if you feel the need to give advice to others make sure that you are living your own words. Walk your talk. remember, it’s easier for people to respect and value advice given when they can see the person giving it following it themselves.

Spider, spider spin your web among the leaves and flowers fair; bind it firmly to each stem for my true love I’ll not share.

Spider, spider spin your web and bind my token fast; I’ll not lose my one true love to a woman from his past.

5 Ways To Celebrate Lammas
BySue Kendrick

The Celtic cross-quarter day of Lammas falls on the 1st August and celebrates the beginning of the harvest season. To our agrarian ancestors it was a hugely important occasion celebrated by making bread from the first grains of the harvest and having a jolly good time!

In an effort to stop the majority of the population missing out on an excuse for an evening of drinking and debauchery here are five ways of celebrating the occasion!

1. Take some new wheat and have a shot at making moonshine whiskey. This is illegal and you will be flogged, put in the stocks and pelted with rotten eggs and dog dung if you get caught so don’t… get caught!

2. Join the local morris side for a round of hopping, skipping and knuckle bashing. Do this before sampling the moonshine otherwise you may end up under a hedge, bruised and bloody for spoiling their game.

3. Make a corn dolly. You need to collect at least 12 stalks of corn under the cover of darkness when the moon is in the 5th phase. (They call it a dark moon). This is not an ancient ritual to empower your dolly with the supernatural, but the best way of avoiding the farmer who will accuse you of destroying his crops.

4. Make a loaf. Do not look at the beautifully crafted pictures of plaits, pots and sculptures made by bakers with a million year lineage in baking as yours will only resemble your mother-in-law on one of her good days.

5. Assuming you got away with the moonshine, invite all your pals around for a big party. Tell them to bring a set of sharp pins so you can take it in turns to give the corn dolly the name of their worst enemy and prick it repeatedly in all its important little places!

6. Cremate your mother-in-law loaf over an open spit and feed to the dog!

Just a minute that’s SIX ways of celebrating Lammas? So it is! You expect me to count after that moonshine?

What is Lughnasadh?
By Paul Fitzpatrick

Lughnasadh is celebrated during the years First Harvest (1st August) and is one of the greater Sabbats. This is the period to start reaping what we has been sown at the beginning of the year, to collect the first bloom of the harvest.

Pagan rituals are performed in celebration of this welcome harvest, and to pay homage to the deities for the abundance of life and bloom during the season. Lughnasadh, was named after the god Lugh as taken from Celtic mythology, but is also translatable as the words “light” or “shining” in the old Irish Gaelic language.

Lugh held funeral games at this time of year in remembrance of his foster mother Taillte. Taillte died after performing the arduous task of clearing the forest of the plains of Ireland in readiness for the coming cultivation.

Lughnasadh also known as Lammas is the first of the triple Pagan harvest celebrations and is a period to collect grain, fruit (raspberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants etc) and seed before the days shorten and the lands welcome the pending autumn. Lughnasadh’s contemporary Irish name is Lunasa (meaning August), though consequently it was adopted into Christian belief systems as Lammas, which roughly translated means “loaf mass” which related to bread baked from the first grain of the harvest.

During gatherings of Lughnasadh, villagers would place offerings of blackberries, acorns and apples etc into the lap of a young girl wearing a virginal white dress, who would sit on the top of a hill, and a dance and procession would be held in celebration of the harvest. Traditionally, fairs are held (especially horse fairs), and numerous traders setup stalls to sell their goods and wares; men would indulge in games of strength and skill to impress the ladies, whilst the ladies in question would happily gossip about anything and everything.

More to follow.

Kick Back and Chill: Cat’s Angel Message for July 30, 2017

July’s Theme: Life Path – Divine Guidance – Action

Some days are simply meant for playing. ~ Mary Anne Radmacher

730:  Our message today involve a little self care. In order to hear and receive both divine guidance as well as our own we must take care of ourselves. This involves keeping our energy field clear so that we can be focused and centered.  Everyday our energy field absorbs bits and pieces of what goes on around us and these things can knock us out of balance. Being balanced is important when it comes to receiving guidance and messages. Take some time today to ground, center and clear. Clean up your path, pick a few weeds, plant something new and even blow a few dandelions. Don’t forget to harvest some good things along the way….. you’ve earned it!

Call on Archangel Raguel today to give you a boost of energy and bring order to your thoughts. Archangel Michael helps to clear our energy field and Ascended Master El Morya promotes groundedness and surrounds us with protection. Use Rose Quartz to shower yourself with loving care and to send healing to those little places that need it.

Blessings for a magickal day!

Are You Curious? :Cat’s Angel Message for July 29, 2017

July’s Theme: Life Path – Divine Guidance – Action

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. ~ Walt Disney

729: As we count down the remaining days of July the Angels are sending us the following message: “Keep faith in your yourself and in your abilities. By doing so you will be able to see your path and purpose more clearly.”  Remember that our inner guidance always tells us where we need or want to be. Even though we may not be able to see the whole picture. As long as we continue moving forward (and YES baby steps count!) we are making progress, so pay attention to the guidance you receive (internal and external)! You’ve got this!

Archangel Michael gets us back on track and helps us move in the right direction and Uriel helps us with problem solving and  the Ascended Master Buddha shows the path to creating peace and balance within our lives. Use Celestite to promote both awareness of your own truth and to enhance divine communication.

Blessings for a magickal day!

The Flow of Abundance: Cat’s Angel Message for July 28, 2017

July’s Theme: Life Path – Divine Guidance – Action

In our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the  abundance of the universe circulating in our lives. ~ Deepak Chopra

728: In the past we’ve talked about abundance and how it comes in many forms. The key is acknowledging what we have because that opens new avenues. Our message today is a reminder that the flow of divine abundance always surrounds us. As we approach the first of the Pagan harvest festivals, Lammas/ Lughnasadh, it’s a great time to take stock of what you have and you may even find some things ready to harvest. The old adage of “counting your blessings” really comes into play over the next few days. It’s time to harvest from our inner fields and gardens and embrace the richness of life!

Archangel Jeremiel is in charge of life reviews. If you ask him he can help you see everything that you have accomplished recently. Use Green Calcite to help divine flow in your life.

Blessings for a magickal day!

Thought for the Day: July 28, 2017 “Just Sing”

Happy Friday!

We all have a song to sing and each one is unique. Sometimes we’re afraid to sing and share our song with others or even with ourselves. Remember,  your song is who you are and it’s what sets you apart from everyone else. Some people may not appreciate your song and that’s OKAY! However there are plenty more who will appreciate it and join you by sharing their own songs.  Never be afraid to shine in your own right!

Have a beautiful and song filled weekend!
